We are lucky to be hanging in San Francisco at such a tumultuous time for art and music—-most of us in this little music scene are desperately holding on to our houses and rehearsal spaces lest some developer come in put in an artisinal chocolate factory. But fear not! There is so much good music…

Wishing I was still in Hawaii…
My dude is a very talented photographer. His eye is drawn to specific themes (man vs. landscape, light, san francisco, and yes old pipes). Last summer he spent a little over a month making art in New Mexico. It was the longest we had spent apart in 2+ years, and the distance was difficult. But we actually grew closer in this time— evenings spent talking long into the night, telling each other about our aspirations and dreams and fears, packages sent across the desert and back to the bay. He also made this collection of photographs from time we’ve spent together, the road trips and hikes and swimming holes we’ve swum in, the flowers we’ve picked and tucked behind ears, the sand we’ve stuck our toes in, the chocolate savored and oranges peeled. It touched me so deeply when he showed it to me, and now I want to show it to you.
